Tylenol Religion?
For the past several weeks, I’ve been inviting Life Ignited subscribers to ask me any two questions they have about God, Spirituality, religion, etc.
Hundreds of questions have been submitted. Over the next few weeks, I’ll answer them on this blog.
I invite you to post your comments and share your insights if you care to.
Many of the Life Ignited subscribers want to know more about who I am. So, I’ll be answering these kinds of questions first.
So, here are the five questions that I’m answering from the mailbag today:
1. Question: Is the girl in the picture at the top of your emails and blog, your wife, Jennifer?
Answer: No. But you can see a picture of my wife here: http://www.JenniferLaMountain.com
2. Question: Is Jennifer still in Jacksonville and are you still in Orlando?
Answer: Yes, because of my work situation. Some of you know that I’m relocating my family to Orlando because of work. And it looks like my family will be together in Orlando in a few weeks.
3. Question: How are you liking Orlando?
Answer: This is easy for me to answer: I love Orlando. I love Jacksonville. I love Florida. Orlando is an awesome place to raise a family.
4. Question: Are you from Florida or another state?
Answer: I’m originally from New York, near Lake Placid. But, as a pastor’s son, I’ve lost count of the states I’ve lived in. But Florida has been home for twelve years. I would be happy to stay here the rest of my life.
5. Question: Why is your message just like everybody else’s message—like a “Tylenol” religion. It takes care of the pain but not the cause. Very generic.
Answer: The core of my message is this: “Trust God with every part of your life, and follow His leading.” This takes away the pain AND addresses the root cause of any problem that one faces. If someone wants to call this a “Tylenol message” then that’s fine with me
